The PSAT

• The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) it’s a standardized test practice for the SAT, which if you do good in, you get scholarships programs and more open doors to the best colleges.

The PSAT Subjects

• The PSAT is consisted of three parts in which the PSAT will measure your strengths and weakness to other students like you:

1.Critical reading skills

2.Math problem-solving skills

3.Writing skills

Tips Before Taking the PSAT• Don’t study the last day, give yourself

time over several days to review for the PSAT.

• You know your strengths and weaknesses, study the things you think you need improvement on.

• The day before the PSAT make sure you get a good night sleep, prepare your materials for the next day, and eat a good breakfast to give your full potential.

When Taking The PSAT

• Do the easiest problems first and leave the hard ones for the end (don’t forget them).

• In a multiple choice always read all the different possible answers.

• Eliminate all the choices that seem incorrect and choose the best answer

• Be aware always for “all of the above” which is why you should read all your different choices.

When Taking The PSAT (Part 2) • Remember to not stress out, and that

nervousness is your enemy.

• Trust in yourself and don’t take long in one question.

• And always read the directions!
