Ps 37:1 ¶ <<A Psalm of David.>> Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the

workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,

And wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the

land, and feed on His faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He

shall give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in

Him, And He shall bring it to pass. 6 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the

light, And your justice as the noonday. 7 ¶ Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;

Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked

schemes to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret it only causes harm.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the LORD, They shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,

But it shall be no more. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall

delight themselves in the abundance of peace. 12 The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes

at him with his teeth. 13 The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his

day is coming. 14 The wicked have drawn the sword And have bent their bow, To cast down the poor and needy,

To slay those who are of upright conduct. 15 Their sword shall enter their own heart, And

their bows shall be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the LORD upholds the righteous.

18 The LORD knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever.

19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. 20 But the wicked shall perish; And the enemies of the LORD, Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away. 39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the

LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble. 40 And the LORD shall help them and deliver

them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him

Jn 13:35 "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

1Jo 4:21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his

brother also.

Trust, Delight, and Commit

Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret, it only

causes harm.Ps 73:3 For I was envious of the foolish, when I

saw the prosperity of the wicked.Ps 37:16 A little that a righteous man has Is better

Vs. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the

land, and feed on His faithfulness.

Ps 37:3 Trust in the LORD (Context-He will reward the just & punish the unrighteous),

Ps 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man or princes.

Pr 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

Ps 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knows the way of the

righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Lu 6:35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in

return; 1Co 15:58 ¶ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the

work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Ga 6:9 And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Heb 13:16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

We are to Do Good 3 Trust in the LORD,

and do good

Ps 89:1 ¶ I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known your

faithfulness to all generations. La 3:22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

His provision, His deliverance, His comfort, His mercy, His peace, His support, His protection

We are to Feed3 dwell in the land, and feed (graze) on

His faithfulness. song

“Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father,There is no shadow of turning with Thee;

Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail notAs Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.“Great is Thy

faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!“  Morning by morning new mercies I see;

All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—    “Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,

Join with all nature in manifold witnessTo Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,

Commit- to obligate or pledge oneself; is to do some act, or make some declaration, which may bind the

person in honor, good faith, or consistency, to pursue a certain course of conduct, or to adhere to the tenor of

that declaration. Pr 16:3 ¶ Commit your works unto the LORD, and

your thoughts shall be established.

5 Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
