• Dec 29, 1987 - Prozac was allowed on the US market .• Sep 1989 - In September 1989, a worker at a printing plant opened fire

with an assault rifle, shooting 20 coworkers before killing himself. When it was revealed that the worker had been taking Prozac, the surviving victims and the families of the dead filed suit against the manufacturer of the drug.

• Prozac or Fluoxetine is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin inhibitors.
