FISCAR 2020 Race Dates

We will confirm which day of the weekends our races are on when they are confirmed to

us but we have the following 5 ‘official’ FISCAR events in place and two Invitation races

(inset) in place:-

• 5 April, Snetterton - The HSCC ‘Jim Russell Trophy Meeting’. We are invited to enter the

Archie Scott Brown Trophy Race for pre 1960 sports racing cars and ALL FISCAR

members cars. The compliancy regs were written by your current chairman, who ran it

between 2015-2018. It is for 45 minutes with a mandatory pit stop so a shared drive is

an option, and it is an opportunity to drive on a circuit we rarely attend and to celebrate

not only the life of Jim Russell, but also Archie and Brian Lister. Regs/entry forms will be

available from 8th February but we will confirm when they are up on HSCC website.

• 19 APRIL - VSCC FORMULA LEGEND ROUND 1 (FORMERLY CALLED SPRING

START) - SILVERSTONE NATIONAL

Our season starter, The Tom Cole Trophy Race sharing with the VSCC’s Hawthorn Trophy Race.

Our usual 30 minute race with mandatory pit stop to enable those who wish to have a second

driver. Last Year FISCAR and FISCAR invited entries accounted for 80% of the entry

o 10 May, Donington - A BARC meeting, we are invited to enter the 1950s sports car race

organised by our CEO Richard Culverhouse. Please support this race if you can, and if we

get 10+ FISCAR entries, half points will count towards our annual trophies; full points if

we get 15+ entries. Also class awards as appropriate.

• 13/14 JUNE - MGCC - SILVERSTONE GP CIRCUIT

We return to the MGCC to enjoy the full Silverstone GP circuit with our old friends, the Iconic

50s. Let’s really make our presence felt

• 12 JULY - HSCC/HRS - BRANDS GP CIRCUIT

We are again invited to join Kevin Kivlochan and his colleagues on this classic GP circuit.

Despite the speed differentials and tyre differences , our members enjoyed themselves in 2019,

and opportunities to race the full circuit are pretty rare.

• 8 AUGUST - BDC - SILVERSTONE NATIONAL

This remains the classic club meeting of the year with a lovely old fashioned club racing

atmosphere no longer experienced often.

• 3/4 OCTOBER - CASTLE COMBE AUTUMN CLASSIC

A great meeting at the fantastic Castle Combe circuit at a event where we always provide more

than enough cars to have our own race. Let’s please keep it that way. We know that our race is

one of the features of this meeting. The race was so good in 2019, that it was Marcus Pye’s

headline race in his Autosport report

2020 CALENDAR UPDATE

The Aston Martin Owners’ Club is currently overhauling its racing programme.

Nine years ago, the Club’s racing programme was out-sourced to reduce financial risk to the

membership, but that model has now become unsustainable.

In 2019, AMOC Racing ran five race meetings, but the Oulton Park date in July drew a poor entry. Early

options for 2020 include a reduction in the number of AMOC race meetings, with the addition of some

guest races within race meetings run by other clubs.
