Challenges and Opportunities of Local Entrepreneurs • Challenges

1. Some are not registered so they may not be able to have enough access to formal support from relevant ministries or development agencies.

2. Do not have proper financial reports, business plan, clear management structure which are the main constraints for them to get loan from financial institutions or other forms of investment (M&A, Joint-Venture…)

3. Most are just business people, not entrepreneurs; they lack innovation, creativity, passion, persistence, willing to leave legacy of the business.

4. Many still do not understand and value business knowledge. 5. Quality of goods and services is still limited and inconsistent. 6. Quantity of goods is still unstable. 7. Still operate independently, not properly clustered for common benefits. 8. Lack proper business and entrepreneurship knowledge and skills.
