Costumer demand for efficient, safe, natural, eco-responsible product

Consumer is looking for natural products in EU:

► Cosmetics: + 89% launches natural claim (2 382 launches in 2017)

► Food: + 20% launches natural claim (4 991 launches in 2017)

► Dietary supplements: 61% of launches contain at least 1 natural ingredientSource: Mintel

But are used with availability and low cost of synthetic products

The consumption of synthetic Vanillin is 12 000 to 15 000 tonnes per year while world vanilla trade (2 300 tonnes) corresponds to less than 50 tonnes of natural vanillin. A vanilla extract can cost 100 x more than a synthetic vanillin.Source: Eurovanille

How to solve this equation? Eco responsible extracts, bioprocess(microorganisms, cellular culture, etc)

Costumer demand for efficient, safe, natural, eco-responsible product

►Consumers of natural food supplements are particularly sensitive to the traceability of the supply and the quality of the plants

(a healthy product must be safe!)

►A large part of the consumers shows a strong appetite for organic products. In their mind plant based supplements are organic.

►Responsible consumers, they are attentive to environmental aspectSource: Pôle PASS members

ERI 360° Standard

The Eco Responsible Ingredient 360 ° standard : a complete analysis of your ingredients, including a clear visibility of agricultural practices, supply chain and production modes.

It includes existing regulation and standards on quality, environment and societal (CITES, IUCN, WHO pesticides, Carbon Base®, UEBT, Organic, ISO 16128, Social Hotspot database, etc.),

to constitute a true independent steering tool adapted to vegetal extraction and bioprocess.

100 indicators and practical calculators (CO2 finger print, OHB risk, natural index, etc).

It can be applied by the use of the web tool for continuous improvement or by ERI 360° Label adding value to your ingredients
