PROVIDING A PATHWAY OF HOPE TO OVERCOME

POVERTY, HOMELESSNESS

AND ADDICTION

DFW Metroplex Command2018 Impact Report

Our Mission

The Salvation Army, an

international movement, is

an evangelical part of the

universal Christian Church.

Its message is based on

the Bible. Its ministry is

motivated by the love of God.

Its mission is to preach the gospel of

Jesus Christ and to meet human needs

in His name without discrimination.

We believe poverty, homelessness, and addiction are the most pervasive social ills affecting

our North Texas communities. This report shows what we are doing to help liberate men,

women, and children from the defeating grip of these human burdens.

True liberation comes only from Jesus Christ. Our mission statement captures this

powerfully, as we are committed to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and meeting human

needs in His name without discrimination.

Here in North Texas we meet needs in many ways. On the following pages, we share our

primary services, as well as some of the results that we believe are worthy of your support.

Thank you very much for joining us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Bernard DiFiore Advisory Board Chairman

Majors Jon and Barbara Rich DFW Metroplex Commanders

Salvation Army food pantries across the Metroplex help struggling families put nutritious meals on their table.

Clothing items help those with little to wear have dress options, especially for work.

Free daily meals provide basic sustenance for homeless individuals and those who can’t afford groceries.
