Proverbs 10:27 The fear of the LORD prolongeth days:

but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

Fear = to be afraid; reverence; it

can include respect.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil:

pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the

froward (stubbornly contrary and disobedient)

mouth, do I hate.

To recognize the Power and Might of God and

choose to live life His Way gives eternal life.

But wicked men and women love evil.

And, in general, they don’t live good long lives.

Some love lying, cheating, stealing, sneaking.

They have no respect for God or God’s people;

They have no respect for the church or worship.

Others love fornication, adultery, pornography.

Many love violence, intimidating, threatening.

28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but

the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

Wicked people expect to have

fun, pleasure, wealth, and that it will all bring them

happiness.

It ain’t so!We who live our lives God’s Way will be glad.

Psalm 30 5 … weeping may endure for a night, but

joy cometh in the morning.

29 The Way of the LORD is strength to the upright:

but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

Only the upright walk in “The Way of the Lord.”

So that is who receives God’s strength.

It’s available to everyone who wants it:

Just walk in the Way of the Lord.

Page 7: Proverbs 10e let us be the children of god

7

But workers of iniquity are self-destructive.

They stubbornly go on in their own way,

rejecting the Way of the Lord.

Psalm 122 1 I was glad when they said unto me,

Let us go into the house of the LORD.

1 Corinthians 6 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a

man doeth is without the body; but he that

committeth fornication sinneth against his own

body.

Two examples:

30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the

wicked shall not inhabit the earth.

Eternal life is only for the righteous;

For those who accept Jesus as Savior and Lord.

John 14 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the

Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh

unto the Father, but by Me.

31 The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but

the froward tongue shall be cut out.

The stubbornly contrary and rebellious tongue

will cease to be heard,

Because ain’t nobody listening

any more.

Page 10: Proverbs 10e let us be the children of god

32 The lips of the righteous know what is accept-

able: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh

frowardness.

Our words flow from our heart.

Toward God Toward self

Speaks good words. Speaks evil.

Let’s truly BE the children of God.

Love as He loves.

Be filled with joy; be happy.

Be at peace in our souls, and at

peace with those around us.

Be patient with difficult

people, and in difficult situations.

12

Let’s truly BE the children of God.

Be gentle and good.

Have the faith to be faithful.

Be meekly submitted unto the

Holy Spirit that we may be strong

in the Power of His Might.

Have the temperance to live a

godly life of moderation.
