They have all been so persistent, confident and most of all proud of their achievements in this new and challenging life-long skill. Here is a lile snapshot of some of the brilliant descripons so far from students at differing levels in their wring journey. - Sheridan Collis, Prep C Teacher Our 2021 Prep cohort sure are into the swing of learning this term! Students have been working super hard on creang both oral and wrien descripons based on the characters from the well-loved Australian story Wombat Stew. All classes are building their vocabulary and knowledge of sentence structures and are applying their ideas and knowledge into wrien form. The funny wombat is eating carrots and lettuce. The big dingo is sleeping on a rock. The wombat is sleeping in a hole. The dingo is sleeping on the rock in the sun in the morning. The chunky wombat is eating. Year 5 Democracy In Year 5 HASS we are

learning about democracy. Students were required to

brainstorm school issues, such as rubbish around the school and not having any cold bubblers at MSS. Students worked in small

groups to problem-solve the issues.

Indigenous leader Cher’Koya Watcho and Indigenous

Ambassador Taehani Harries recently attended the

Indigenous Leaders for the Future Meet & Greet Conference at Rydges

Cairns. They were alongside aspiring Indigenous leaders

from across the region. These students had the opportunity to share a cultural presentation and participate in leadership activities.

Prep 2022 The Prep Open Morning last week was a huge

success. Enrolments are open for Prep 2022. See our office staff for an enrolment pack!

This week we are celebrating Chappy Week. We are so grateful to have Chappy Tim

supporting our students. Thank you, Tim!
