A Brazilian Architecture Student finding his career path
Problem Statement
Fred, a 22 year old Brazilian University Student of Architecture, that is passionate about politics and alternative rock bands and lives in Curitiba, a large city in Brazil, needs a way to make a career plan with all of the possibilities he has because this plan among with extracurricular activities will guide him through his career path. FRED
Top 3 ideas• the most practical idea (one that could be easily implemented)• Fred needs to define goals for the short, medium and long term. Those
goals will influence when applying for jobs or pursuing an academic career.
• the most disruptive idea (one that would make a huge impact, regardless of how feasible or affordable it is)
• Interning abroad will make him in contact to technologies and techniques that are not yet developed in Brazil and could be brought to Brazil by him.
• your favorite idea (one idea that you are excited about for whatever reason... you don’t have to justify why)
• Invisibility would allow Fred to shadow all of the big companies’ employees and feel how they behave on their daily routine. From these observations, he could choose a promising career.

Short term
Interning abroad will make him in contact to technologies and techniques that are not yet developed in Brazil and could be
brought to Brazil by him.
• As interning abroad is not something that can be done on the weekends, i’ve represented the internship/exchange experience in this picture.
• The Pisa tower is there to represent Italy (or any foreign country).
Invisibility would allow Fred to shadow all of the big companies’ employees and feel how they behave on their daily routine.
From these observations, he could choose a promising career.
No one can see Fred, except for him. With invisibility he would see how the architect command their offices (work stations). He would know how to handle issues and how to manage stakeholders.

At the most unexpected situations of the day, people come up with ideas. Not only by being invisible, but by reading other people’s mind, Fred would be able how to generate ideas. This representation is only na example. At other places like meals, people also have ideas to their problems or to enhance productivity, profitability, etc.
The representations of invisiblity and being abroad were approved by the observer.Tasks will help Fred achieve his goals.
Instead of just taks, a structured plan could be the result of listing the short, medium and long term goals. The goals could be more measurable. The representation of the architect could be better if more legos were available.Tasks could be separated in everyday taks (checklist) and long duration tasks.
A research on the possible new architecture techniques could’ve been done, to list which countries had developed then, so that the country choice of the internship would be less broad and more targeted oriented to these techniques. By having the Pisa Tower representing a foreign country, the cultural side of the exchange program was remembered. That way, not only Fred will benefit from the exchange program itself, but also from the exchange of cultural aspects.
Are there any scholarships available for exchange programs? When would be a good start point to leave the stability of work to open up my own business?
