Definition of Terms
Schism- is a revolt against theauthority of the Church, a formalseparation from the unity of the
Church. In itself it is not a sin againstfaith, but a grave sin ofdisobedience. In most caseshowever, it is joined with heresy,
because the schismatic as a rule, also denies the supreme ruling andteaching power of the Pope, which isan article of faith. A person who
holds such view is called schismatic.

A Parting word
The question that must be answered by
every individual is the following. How
sure am I, that I am truly following the
religion established by Christ, and notmerely one that has been foisted on me as
the religion of Christ by human agent?
What historical basis and certainty do I
have, to trust in the allegation of anypreacher to that effect?.
