RUBIO MONOCOAT The first and still only oil that really contains 0% VOC!

What are VOCs? Volatile Organic Compounds is a generic term for the chemical substancesthatevaporateintotheairafterapplyingoil.Organic refers to the chemical composition of the components andvolatilereferstothefactthattheyevaporatewhiledrying.

Why are they hazardous? Using products that contain VOCs releases vapours that are hazardoustobothmanandtheenvironment.ExcessivecontactwithVOCscancauseallergicreactions,breathingproblemsandeyeproblems.Furthermore,theyaffecttheozonelayerandincreasethegreenhouseeffect.Nowonderthatlegislativebodieshavefounditnecessarytointervene.

Our statement: 0% VOC! AlreadyinthedevelopmentphaseoftheRubioMonocoatsystem,threeyearsbeforethefirstVOClegislationhadcomeintoeffect, thebarwassetsignificantlyhighintheareaofemission. NotalowVOCcontentthatcouldstillbeopenfordiscussion, butaclearstatementaboutoilwith0%VOC.Fromtheverystart, we had already set emission norms for ourselves that were stricter thantheonesprescribedinthecurrent2010legislation.

How is that possible? InspiteofthehazardouscharacteristicsdemonstratedinVOCs,manufacturersrefusetostopusingthemaltogether.Theyreducetheircontenttothelowestpossiblequantity,buttheyoftendonotabandonVOCscompletely.ThisisbecauseVOCscontributetoa large extent to the optimal workability of the traditional wood-finishingproducts.TheactionofRubioMonocoat,however,isbasedon molecular bonding: a revolutionary technology in which the hazardousfactorsareeliminatedwhileguaranteeingincontestablequality.

Withourrangeofoilsthatcontain0%VOC,nosolventsandnowater,wearestillfaraheadonthecurrentlegislationonthismatter.Becausewehavethoughtinthelongtermfromday1,andbecauseyourhealthandtheenvironmentareprecioustous.
