Preventing future cancers with HPV vaccineThe HPV vaccine prevents cancer and other diseases caused by the human papillomavirus, the most common sexually transmitted infection in the United States. About 80 percent of adults are infected with HPV at some point in their lives.

Protect your children from future cancers by vaccinating them now. Learn a few facts about HPV:

• About 14 million people, including teens, are infected with HPV each year.

• Vaccination is recommended for adolescents starting at ages 11-12 years. If your child has not started or fi nished the HPV vaccine series, talk to your doctor.

Children must receive all three doses of the HPV vaccine to ensure full protection. Talk to your doctor to learn more.
