Rules for Participation

AD MAD Show is an 'Advertisement Making Competition' for students to showcase their creativity in Marketing products and services. Its objective is to acquaint the students about promotional strategies in marketing through advertisements. It comprises of humorous & conceptual ad presentation by the students. Students will act out on various advertisement script and ideas relevant for different sectors including FMCG product, while goods, services, automobiles and social awareness etc. All the teams will be given a time frame to showcase their talent.

(1) For elimination round participants have to prepare ad from any of the below product or services with a tag line or jingle. Cold-Drinks Cosmetic (Any) Biscuits or Chocolates Service Product (Banking, Insurance Etc.) Electronic Appliances (Mobiles, TV. Etc.) Wafers Pen or Pencil Medicine

(2) Participants will have to produce a jingle and TV commercial advertisement for a product in a proper way which is quite appealing to audience. Number of participants in a team: 3 to 4

(3) Time allowed to present your prepared ad will be 3 minutes (includes jingle and TV commercial).

(4) The ad prepared by the contestants must not contain any obscene words/any subject that hurts the feelings or a culture/language/religion/region.

(5) Participants have to prove their advertisement. Participants shall not permit to make changes in ad once final approval is done. If done so, they will be disqualified from event.

(6) The decision of the judge is final and abiding.

General Quiz

Rules for Participation

The purpose of this quiz contest is to test the knowledge of the participants beyond academics. Knowledge improvements and awareness is the main target of this event.

(1) Themes: The contest will test the knowledge of Participants in the following broad areas.

General Knowledge Technical Knowledge Culture and Heritage Sports Current affairs Science and Nature Entertainment Media

(2) Team size:

A team must have two members. Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.

(3) General Rules and Regulations: Only team entries are allowed. Participants will not be allowed to use mobile / any electronic gadgets during the quiz. The questions shall be in the form of multiple choices, true / false statement, specific-

one word answer and the like. The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.

(4) Qualifying round 1) A written test will be conducted at Event campus. 2) Each team would have to answer 20 multiple choice objective type questions by way

of question paper. 3) Time limit will be 20 minutes for the qualifying round. 4) Only 5 teams will be selected for the FINAL STAGE ROUND. 5) In case of a tie between any two or more teams, an additional five questions will be

given to the teams and a final selection will be made. 6) The selected teams shall have to appear for the final on-stage round for which the

venue and time will be informed during the qualifying round.

(5) Final round – On-stage round: Round 1:

1) Round -1 has 5 questions for each team. 2) Each team will be asked 5 multiple choice questions. 3) 10 marks will be awarded for a correct answer at the first chance. 4) Answering time per question is only 30 seconds. 5) Discussion within the team is allowed.

Round 2: 1) Round -2 have 3 questions for each team. 2) Answering time per question is only 20 seconds. 3) 10 marks will be awarded for each correct answer whereas 5 marks will be deducted

for each wrong answer. 4) If a team cannot answer a question, it can be passed to the next team. If answered

correctly 10 marks will be awarded to the team or else 5 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.

Round 3: (Audio-visual round)

1) A video clip will be projected on the screen and questions related to the clip will be asked to the teams.

2) This audio-visual round will consist of two rounds with each team getting one clip per round.

3) 10 marks will be awarded for the each correct answer whereas wrong answers will lead to a deduction of 5 marks each.

4) Answering time is limited to 10 seconds per question. 5) No passing is allowed to the next team. Audience can answer subjected to Quiz

master’s request. Round 4: (Buzzer Round)

1) A question will be posed to all teams and the team which presses the buzzer first will be given the chance to answer.

2) 10 marks will be awarded for each correct answer while a deduction of 5 marks will be deducted for wrong as well as no answers.

3) Answering time is limited to 10 seconds per question.

Short Story Telling

Creative Craft

Creative craft presentation is the event which provides the platform to students for present their creativity. Any new innovative craft, hand work, best-from-west etc. can be present by students. This activity improves the creativity and innovation as well as provides new ideas to students.

(1) Participant has to ready craft to display at time of event.

(2) Participant can chose any theme for creation of craft.

(3) Participant has to prepare poster and craft model of the craft. The size of poster is 2*2

(4) Maximum 2 participants in the group.

(5) Participants has to display and told the judges about their work.

(6) Final decision taken by judges should be acceptable by all the participants.

(7) The management has right to make any changes in the event before giving any prior information to the participants.

(8) One table should be provided to each team for their craft model.

Documentary & Short film

The main objective of this activity is to improve Audio visual creative creation and awareness about different aspects of movie making and presentation through videography. With the use of technology and social media through internet students improve their technical knowledge also.

(1) The students can be participate individual or in group with maximum 3 students.

(2) The time limit for movie and documentary is minimum 3 min to maximum 5 min.

(3) The students should submit movie or Documentary in “.mp4” file format which can be played through “VLC Media player”

(4) The movie or Documentary should not be animated and should not in a form of PPT

(5) It should be self created and in video form.

(6) The submission of Documentary/video has to on the date of event at registration counter in the morning in pendrive/DVD. And participants should have backup the same.

(7) Documentary should convey the message and based on following topics.

(8) Per participant fees is Rs 100

(9) The final decision of selection of documentary will be taken by judges.

(10) Per College 1 entry will be allowed.

(11) Abuse words, racism and any negativity should not be created.

This activity organized for entertainment with childhood memories. College youngsters will participate for playing various surprise games. This event entertains the audience and improves the confidence of participants.

(1) The Game Of One Or Two Minutes Will Be Played.

(2) There Will Be “Four” Rounds, Each Round Will Be “Knock-Out”.

(3) Each Team Will Be Of Two Members Only.

(4) Entry Fee per Person RS.100/- (Non-Refundable).

(5) Decision Of Judge Would Be The Final.
