Although Khairpur Medical College is in its growing stage and facing many difficulties but with cooperation of

Faculty members and support of Chief Minister Sindh & Health Department, the College is fully equipped with

latest Teaching aids and equipment for providing state of art training to Medical students.

The lecture halls, laboratories, seminar rooms, museums and air conditioned.

Teaching system is semester type and curriculum is adopted of Peoples university of Medical of Health sciences

in accordance with PMDC guide line.

Because of semester system a fixed schedule of teaching and examinations is exercised to finish course within

time, so that degree can be awarded in a prescribed period of 05 years.

I advise you not to miss any lecture or practical class during study period & to act upon code of conduct and

maintain discipline.

I N T R O D U C T I O N

The Khairpur Medical College, Khairpur Mirs is a public sector Medical college for 100 seats located in

rural area of Sindh at Khairpur Mirs' .

The College was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on 30th December,

2012.

It is affiliated with Peoples University of Medical & Health Sciences for Women, Shaheed Benazirabad -

Nawabshah Sindh (PUMSHW) for Curriculum and examinations purpose.

The College was initially named as LUMHS Khairpur Medical College as a constituent part of Liaqat

University of Medical & Health Sciences Jamshoro Sindh (LUMHS) till June, 2014, there after it became

project of Government of Sindh Health Department Karachi as ADP Scheme "Establishment of Khairpur

Medical College, Khairpur Mirs.

The first principal of College was Prof: Mashoor Alam shah a renowned Professor of Medicine.

The College has been inspected 03 times by PM&DC and under process of recognition by Pakistan

Medical and Dental council Islamabad.

The 1st batch of 100 students started classes in 2015 after approval from 139th PM&DC Council meeting.

Presently 400 students are studying in KMC-Khairpur Mirs and very 1st batch is in 4th year MBBS.

This year 5th batch of 100 students would be admitted in Session 2018-19 at KMC Khairpur Mirs.

Teaching faculty of Khairpur Medical College is highly qualified and working hard to provide basic &latest

knowledge to students for improving Academics to international standards.

Presently College is located on make shift arrangement in "Women Elementary College" khairpur for

First & 2nd year classes and "F-Block of Civil Hospital Khairpur Mirs" for 3rd ,4th and final year classes.

Students are provided hostels for accommodation.

The purpose built College shall be constructed on 28 acres of Khairpur Textile Mill Plot and 60 acre

land at Deh mitho mari Khairpur Mirs.

500 Bedded KMC Civil Hospital khairpur is attached with College for teaching and clinical training of

Medical students.

I am sure that Honourable Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah ,his team Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho

Health Minister and Secretary Health Department would be kind enough to provide funds and facilities

for uplift and recognition of Khairpur Medical College by PMDC.
