This prospectus contains all the necessary information to enable students to fill the application form,

in addition to information on PG courses offered, fee structure, briefly the rules and regulations and

examination. Please go through this prospectus carefully before filling the application form.

Obtaining Application form, payment & process of application :

1. Application form is to be downloaded from the website and filled. The completed application form

with documents and the necessary application fee for the categories of choice to be submitted at the

office before the last date of application. The application fee is to be paid in cash or DD drawn in

favour of “Charutar Arogya Mandal”, Payable at Anand on any Nationalized bank. (Cheques will not

be accepted / do not send cash by post).

2. Admission committee is not responsible for any loss/delay/damage which might occur during Postal

or Courier delivery. Candidates are encouraged to apply early to avoid last minute postal delay. Forms

will not be accepted after the due date (9th January 2015).

Note:

• Application Form should be complete in all respects before submission.

• Documents submitted along with the application will not be returned.

• Original certificates should be produced at the time of personal interview / counselling.

• Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence thereof would be entertained.

• Errors arising out of incorrect or improper data entry will be the sole responsibility of the candidate.

Admission committee is not responsible for any error the candidate makes while filling up the

Application Form.

• Admission committee will not entertain any changes in the application form and no refund will be made.

• Any falsification of information will lead to automatic disqualification from Examination. If it is found

that the candidate has concealed any information /fact in connection with his/her application, his/her

admission shall be cancelled without any notice there of, fees forfeited and he/she may be expelled and

prosecuted, and will not be eligible to apply in future.

Examination admit card will be sent by E-mail after 15th January 2015. The candidate has to produce it

with a photo ID proof (Govt.) at the time of examination.

NOTE:

• SPU category is only for SP University students.

• All candidates can apply for Management Seats and NRI categories.

• NRI category applicants need to fulfil the NRI status.

Student applying need to pay the sum total of application fee for the number of categories applied for

as given in the table in page no 3, with the application form, for example : SP University candidate

applying in SPU, MS & NRI catagories has to pay a sum total of Rs. 9000/-

• NRI admission will be as per the NRI admission rules existing in the SP University fulfilling the

requisite criteria. Those who have opted for NRI category in the application form will only be

eligible to seek admission for NRI category. No change is permitted afterwards.

• NRI admission is subject to submission of relevant documents to prove their NRI status and in case

of sponsored candidate of sponsorship form in prescribed format, which can also be downloaded.

certificate should be submitted with the application as proof.

23.Date of Internship Completion : Fill in DD/MM/YYYY format only, If your internship completion

date is 31st March 2012, fill it as 31-03-2012.

24. Degree MCI Recognized : If Yes fill ‘Y’ and if No fill ‘N’

25. Tentative Preferences : give three tentative preference of subjects which you desire to seek admission

to prepare waiting list.

• The Pre-PG entrance test is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission for PG courses in the

institute.

• Candidates appearing for PG entrance examination will be issued a Hall Ticket which will be sent

by Email which they have to bring with a Photo Identity Proof issued by Govt. (Passport, PAN card,

Driving Licence, Voters card) This is mandatory. The candidate will have to sign the Hall Ticket in the

presence of the Supervisor during the examination.

• The examination is MCQ type, candidate will have to answer the questions in an OMR Answer sheet.

• Duration : 120 minutes.

• Date and Time : 11.00 am to 1.00 pm, 21st January 2015 (Wednesday).

Rules governing the admission to Post-Graduate Degree and Diploma Medical Courses :

1. The candidate desiring admission must possess recognized MBBS degree or equivalent

qualification and should have obtained permanent Registration with the Medical Council of India, or

the Gujarat State Medical Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his

admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

2. Provided that in the case of a foreign national, s/he has obtained temporary registration from the

Medical Council of India for the duration of the postgraduate training restricted to the

Pramukhswami Medical College to which he is admitted for the time being exclusively for

postgraduate studies.

3. The eligibility to appear for the CET & counselling would be as follows :

a) The candidate’s MBBS degree must be recognized by the Medical Council of India.

b) In case of Indian graduates of foreign Universities (e.g. Russia, China etc.) equivalence and/or

MCI registration certificate to be produced latest, at the time of counselling.

c) He / She should be completing / completed compulsory rotating Internship at the time of

counselling. All candidates shall have to submit the documentary proof from the Dean of the

college regarding the date of joining and expected date of completion of internship along with the

application, failing which their application shall be rejected.

d) A candidate currently engaged in PG. Medical Studies at Sardar Patel University or any other

university or equivalent body is not eligible. On completion of the course he/she becomes eligible.

e) A candidate, who in the past, selected and admitted to any or equivalent body and did not complete

the course, is not eligible.

f ) A candidate, who had been disqualified by this University, will not be eligible.

g) A candidate who is a graduate of University other than Sardar Patel University will have to submit

provisional eligibility certificate from Sardar Patel University within one month from the date of

his/her admission, failing which the admission of candidate shall be cancelled and he / she will not

be eligible to apply in future.

h) A candidate applying for NRI category need to submit the sponsorship in the prescribed format

which can be downloaded from the website &/or obtained from the PG section of the College.

4. Process of Selection

In determining the academic merit, the College would consider the following procedure:

a) The academic merit shall be established through a common entrance test (CET) conducted by the

SP University. The calculation of academic merit will be as follows:

The Merit list would be prepared by giving 40% weightage to the cumulative marks

obtained by the students at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd MBBS (Part I & II) examinations and 60%

weightage to marks obtained from the CET.

With regard to the entrance test held for postgraduate admissions by the University or the college,

the minimum percentage of marks for eligibility for admission to the postgraduate medical courses

shall be fifty percent for all the candidates.

b) For candidates passed from the foreign university, the cumulative marks of MBBS will be calculated as per

the grading score equivalence approved by the SP University.

c) The allotment of seats would be as per the Regulations in force.

5. Merit list will be displayed on the website of college / university website and college notice board.

6. Eligible candidates whose names appear on the respective merit list would be required to attend the

1st round of counselling session on 16.4.2015, at their cost. No separate letter/intimation for the

counselling session would be issued. They should bring all original certificates for verification and

also carry a photo ID card. They can also be represented by a duly authorized person.(authorization

format enclosed). Similarly, a second round of counselling, if required would be held on the notified

date.

7. Candidates offered admission would have to pay a token amount of Rs. 3.00 lakhs at the time of

their counselling. This amount will be adjusted in the tuition fees. The provisional admission order

shall be issued only on receipt of the said amount at the time of counselling session. The seat

would however be offered to the next candidate on merit present at the counselling session if the

candidate fails to pay the token amount of Rs. 3 lakh within the time limit on the day of counselling

session. The prescribed tuition fees for the first year shall be payable by 24th April, 2015, 3 pm,

failing which the seat will be offered to other candidates in the second counselling.

8. A second round of counselling would be held on 28.4.2014 for seats falling vacant after the 1st

round of counselling session. All eligible candidates can take part in it. The vacant seats available

for the second round of counselling would be declared on the notice board of PS Medical College

and its website at least 24 hrs before the notified date for the second round of counselling. A

candidate can opt for the seat which was at a higher merit during the 1st counselling but got vacated

subsequently after 1st counselling. Candidates will not be eligible for the seats which were available

and offered to him/her at the time of 1st round of counselling. The admitted candidates shall have to

pay the prescribed tuition fees by 30th April, 2014 at 3 pm, failing which the seat will be offered as

per waiting list.

9. A waiting list with three preferences of subjects would be recorded for the candidates who could not

get admissions during the 2nd round of counselling. In case of any seats falling vacant later, such

seats would be offered to them according to choices (subject and degree/diploma) recorded in order of

merit. A subject preference form” is included in the application form.

10. The decision of the Chairman, Admission Committee on any dispute arising out of this

admission procedure will be final and binding.

11. Tution Fees: As applicable.

Payment of tuition fees:

Students admitted to the courses shall pay non-refundable fees annually at the beginning of each year

as per the prescribed fee structure for various subjects, to the College..

All the selected students would give a undertaking to abide by the schedule of payment of fees and in

case of default, their admission is likely to be withdrawn and cancelled. The student has to submit

post dated cheques of the remaining tuition fees of the course. A repeater student may be required to

pay a nominal fee of Rs.10,000/- (subject to change) before being permitted to re-appear in the

University examination.

12. Rules of refund will be as indicated in the provisional admission letter and the counselling

information displayed on the website before the counselling.

13. The candidate who after joining to PG course, cancels or leaves the course after the las t date of

cancellation, and / or last possible date for college to fill the seat, the candidate is legally liable to

pay the whole course fee.

14. The candidates who have been admitted to NRI seat and desires to cancel the seat, the

cancellation is subject to, the seat getting filled by another candidate on the NRI waiting list.

Cancellation rules of refund will apply.

15. Students admitted to the courses would be required to furnish post dated cheques with affidavit, in

respect of the tuition fees for the remaining duration (2 years in case of degree and 1 year in case of

diploma students).

16. The candidate would be required to attach himself to a postgraduate teacher of the college in the

subject of his studies and work under him or them after registration for the period prescribed by the

Regulations.

17. The candidate would have to get himself registered by applying in the prescribed form for

registration as postgraduate student of the Sardar Patel University. Within 1 month of admission the

college will collect the registration fees and credit to the University ordinarily in the beginning of the

academic term forwarded through the Dean & obtain provisional eligibility certificate.

18. None of the PG students during the entire period of their PG studentship /studies will be allowed to

take up any employment or to do any private practice. They will have to work as full time PG

students in the respective departments.

19. A candidate may be registered either for a postgraduate Degree or Diploma. The period of

registration for postgraduate degree or diploma will end with the completion of the required terms.

Simultaneous registration for PG degree/diploma in other subject shall not be permitted.

20. Migration/transfer of students undergoing postgraduate courses at the Pramukhswami medical

college for degree/diploma, shall not be permitted.

21. Stipend :

All the admitted students will be given stipend as per the policy of the Institute.

Payment of stipend is subject to students fulfilling their obligations with regard to submission of

required documents, certificates, payment of fees and post dated cheques as per the schedule notified.

Continuation of stipend is subject to the performance appraisal during the PG course.

22. Any dispute that may arise in respect to admission process is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of

courts at Anand.

Travel

The College and Exam hall (Gyanoday) Venue is well connected by road and rail. The nearest

railway station on the broad-gauge line is Anand (10 kms.), which is an important rail-junction

between Vadodara and Ahmedabad on the Western railway. All important Express / Super-fast trains

stop at Anand. Plenty of city buses ply between Anand, VVNagar and Karamsad. Autoricksaws are

also available outside the station. The nearest airports Vadodara (50 kms. -1 hr. drive by road) and

Ahmedabad (100 km, 2 hr drive by road) have daily flights to and from all major cities.

Accomodation

Limited accommodation within the campus is available, with prior intimation and will be given on

‘first- come-first-served’ basis at a nominal charge. Accommodation are available at hotels and

hostels in Anand (9 km, 20 minute drive) and Vallabh Vidya Nagar (5km, 7 minute drive).
