MRO in China

OEMs are entering the MRO Business with their advantage of technologies

and scale;

Mature wide product range to meet the demands of Chinese Airlines;

The MRO industrialization trends are clearer and they pursue the business from 3rd party market, some leading MRO providers are playing globally actively for aircraft heavy maintenance, engine overhaul, landing gear overhaul;

MRO new technology will rapidly be introduced into Chinese MRO providers

along with many B787s, A380s and advanced engines purchased by

Chinese airlines;

The cost is a key advantage of the MRO industry in China;

There is a “good-weather” in the business atmosphere for foreign customers

to cooperate with Chinese MRO providers for example: tariff and VAT etc..

A 4-bay “two-A380-sized”-hangar close to

the new Terminal Three of Beijing

International Airport is under construction. It

will have the capacity to host up to 4 wide-

body airplane.

Expansion of New Facilities

A new “combi” hangar will house aircraft of

the size up to B747. Aircraft can be

overhauled and painted in the same dock

without repositioning.

A new central store and logistics center

will be built by 2007. The warehouse will

be operated as a “bonded store”.
