HIGH QUALITY GLASS FIBRE FABRIC

So that you can create an optimal living and working environment the HunterDouglas® ProScreen is fitted with a high quality glass fibre fabric. The open weave of the glass fibre fabric reduces heat gain internally by 85%and light level by 75%, while allowing diffuse light to pass through. The even distribution of the light that passes through the fabric ensures optimum contrast in the field of view and prevents glare. This is soothing to the eye and makes working with digital screens and displays very comfortable.

HEAD BOXESHunterDouglas® ProScreen is made up of three systems, in a range of designs suitable for virtually any building. The selection depends, among other factors, on the dimensions of the window and the desired design.

HunterDouglas® ProScreen can be used as a built-on or, depending on the size of the design, built-in system. With the built-on system the head box is mounted externally around the window profile or on the façade. With the built-in system the “head box” is mounted behind the façade.

FINISHThe base material of the HunterDouglas® ProScreen boxes is extruded aluminium with a white anodised finish or powder coated in any RAL colour.

The ProScreen head boxes are fitted with an end cap at both ends, made from cast zinc alloy. End caps are coated in RAL 9022 in combination with a white anodised head frame.

STANDARD AND CONTRA ROLLINGThe HunterDouglas® glass fibre fabric can be rolled out from the HunterDouglas® ProScreen head box in two ways, namely:• Standard rolling (back rolling)• Contra rolling (front rolling)*.

* Only available in the square profile ProScreen head boxes.

COUPLING SYSTEMSHunterDouglas® ProScreen offer the ability to couple two or three lateral guide systems together and to operate them with a motor. This coupling can be enclosed in a continuous head box (75 or 85) or separate head boxes can be linked to each other laterally (75, 85 and 95).

Where the ProScreen head boxes are coupled there is a gap of at most a few millimetres between the individual screens.

GUIDE SYSTEMS

HunterDouglas® ProScreen provides six possible guide systems using two technologies.1. Stainless steel cable guide2. Extruded aluminium lateral guides.

The extruded aluminium lateral guide profiles are fitted underneath with a black end cap, with the exception of the “Recess” profile.

Each type of guide system has been developed for a specific application or mounting method.

Control mechanismRECESS

Proscreen box type 95 can also be used in a “recess” installation. A guide system that is mounted on the outer wall sealing it fully.

BOTTOM RAILHunterDouglas® ProScreen offers the choice of four types of bottom rail. The 20 x 38 mm bottom rail, for use with the aluminium guides (type A), is fitted with a patented guide block to minimise noise from vibrations.

FINISH

The bottom rail can be finished in a range of ways, specifically;• white anodised • powder coated in the desired RAL

colour• finished in the pocket of the

The most suitable fabric for retractable external sun protection is the glass fibre fabric from Hunter Douglas, available in two versions:• Sergé• Carré

The HunterDouglas® glass fibre fabric has the following excellent qualities:• reflective and anti-static;• shape and colourfast;• high resistance to tearing;• durable;• will not rot and easy to clean;• resistant to moisture and UV rays.

The ratio of the width to the height can be 1:3 at most. Depending on the size, a horizontal fabric seam may be necessary.

The Sergé glass-fibre fabric is made from Tex 165 glass fibre with a PVC coating. The twill forms a diagonal pattern, which looks different from the front and the back. This fabric is available in 10 colours to a standard width of 2.50 m, or to a width of 3.20 m for black and grey shades. The transparency factor is 3%. The fire resistance of the Sergé fabric satisfies: - M1 (according to French standard NF P92-503)- B1 (according to German standard DIN 4102)- C-S3,d0 (according to the European standard NEN-EN 13501-1).

CARRÉ

The Carré glass-fibre fabric is made from Tex 165 glass fibre with a PVC coating. The plain weave forms a check pattern which looks the same from the front and the back. This fabric is available in 11 colours to a standard width of 2.50 m. The transparency factor is 5%. The fire resistance of the Carré fabric satisfies:- M1 (according to French standard NF P92-503)- B1 (according to German standard DIN 4102)- C-S3,d0 (according to the European standard NEN-EN 13501-1).
