Propulsion systems and propeller repair
Simplex can offer many years of experience in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of propulsion systems, thrusters and propeller blades worldwide. Combined with our team of diesel and sterntube seals engineers, this means that we are able to offer a complete service from the engine to the propeller. In addition we offer replacement propeller blades as well as redesigned propellers to optimise fuel consumption.

We are able to offer a full overhaul of propeller hubs, bow-thrusters,
and shaft couplings. We can machine components and carry out a
control system analysis with full retrofits if required.
We are also able to carry out technical surveys in 3D of propellers,
propeller blades and all kind of other products.
Additionally, new mobile balancing and measuring equipment for
propeller blades up to a weight of 6.5 tonnes has been developed
and installed. The equipment allows the blades to be balanced within
a tolerance of 2.5 kg. This means that the CPP blades can now be
measured in any location, making it possible to carry out repairs to an
even higher standard of accuracy.
