Props play a vital part in making a storyline/film look realistic. The props we are going to use in our Physiological Thriller are going to be mostly every day things which everybody from all backgrounds will see in a household. These items include things such as scissors and books. We have carefully chosen the following items so that the audience are able to relate to the props that are featured in the opening sequence analysis.

The first prop we are going to be using is an old book. This prop isgoing to be used by a dirty hand turning the pages of the bookto make the audience feel scared about what the hand is doing. This propis used as it is a common house hold item which members of theaudience will be able to relate to. This item is going to be used toquestion the audience to what the topic of the book is going to be about andmake the audience think about the significance to the book. This links inwith the genre of the opening sequence, Psychological Thriller as it is mysterious and frightening for the audience.

One of the props we are going to be using is a pair of scissors. Scissors arecommonly known as household objects and can be used for avariety of different things. However scissors can be very sharp and canstand for danger as they can hurt people. This has an effect on theaudience as it makes the audience feel at tense when the scissors areshown in the shot as the audience may feel that the scissors are goingto kill or hurt somebody that may be appearing in the shot. This linksin with the genre of the film as it is a scary and possibly life threateningprop to use.
