er to promul!ate sustainability2 here is carbon involved in the e1traction of the resources that 3e use to

ate products4 in the transportation of these products to the site4 in the physical construction of the

ldin!s4 in the operation of buildin!s4 and in the lives of people as they carry on business2 i Carbon is one

or problem that coe1ist 3ith humanity2 It may seem impossible to totally eliminate these element in the

vironment but there are 3ays to neutrali6e and reduce its e1istence2 he pro5ect strives to create a

ucture that considers environmental impacts from ener!y use in buildin!s and uses rene3able resources2

e important !oal is the necessity to !o beyond ne!atin! the environmental impacts from buildin!s to

ate a built environment that is restorative to the natural environment2

he research topic focuses on the desi!n and composition of a buildin! that 3ould reduce carbon

issions associated 3ith all aspects of the pro5ect intended for research and innovations based on the 3or8s

nature. 3hich is. called Biomimicry2 It simply means technolo!y that imitates nature2 It includes

ovations ta8in! nature as its inspiration2 his technolo!y have been lon! emer!ed in the industry of 

i!n but only recently has its true potential be!un2 Behind some the pro5ects here in the Philippines 3hich
