DESCRIPTION

In recent years, the medical doctors must distinguish condition of many injured people at a disaster quickly. Injured people are distinguished by colored paper tags by doctors, this is called triage. The triage is identification done to save more lives in the disaster scene. In this research, we propose an ad-hoc network system that enables sharing injured people’s condition and other information between rescuers and the doctors. The doctor inputs the injured people’ triage level and location information acquired from GPS their mobile node. The node manages the injured people information and network. The node sent this information to surrounding nodes through an ad-hoc network. Surrounding node retransmits its information widely. After the rescuers move the injured people, they send the completed information to the doctor's node. Thus our proposed system shares injured peoples’ information between rescuers and the doctor in an ad-hoc network.

Background

The triage is used injured people in the disaster scene

It is difficult to share injured peoples’ information

The network sharing information can be constructed by an ad-hoc network technology

3

What is triage?

To rescue a lot of lives in the disaster scene where talent and materials are insufficient, priority is applied to treatment.( Information is shared with the tag of paper)

Because paper is used, it is difficult to share

information.

4

What is an ad-hoc network?

Network is constructed of nodes

We can add and remove node.As the result, node can move anywhere.

Does not need the base station

Problem

The doctor puts up tag to the injured people

The rescue team transports the injured people

It is necessary to cooperate with the doctor between rescue teams

Problem

It is necessary to cooperate with the doctor between rescue teams

Because the triage tag by using a paper, it is difficult to take cooperation.

Information does not be shared.

We solve a problem by sending an informationon the network

By using an ad-hoc network

The communication between nodes can be done even if there is no AP.

Each node equipped with wireless LAN can be used.

A special node is unnecessary.

Proposal

The doctor delivers triage information by using an ad-hoc

network

The rescue team receives information

The doctor confirms that transportation is done by the reply.

The doctor and rescue personnel

have the node

Injured peoples’ triage information is shared, injured peoples' transportation efficiency is improved.

Injured peoples’ positionis confirmed by using GPS

Advantage

Time to look for the injured people decreases

It is easy to understand the situation of the disaster scene

Transportation time becomes short

We can make the plan quickly

Conclusion12

Our proposal shares information by using an ad-hoc network system for the triage.

More lives can be saved.

For the future work

The program cannot be mounted yet.

I want to build the program into the NetWalker, and an iPhone for the next step.
