Conspiracies
“Jet fuel can’t melt steel beams!” The idea that Bush caused 911 and that the JFK
assassination was a hoax are two of the main conspiracy theories that still circulate today. For
our semester long multimodal project we are going to be researching and presenting some of the
main and most talked about conspiracy theories around the world. We are going to be
approaching this task by taking an in depth look into the ideas and proof that support these
theories. Using the information we uncover we will present the different views and provide our
opinion of how these conspiracies affect the world around us. Our information will be presented
in the form of a prezi that will focus on the theories individually along with the origins of
conspiracy theories as well.
Because our project will be focussing on different events our project will be designed to
specifically highlight these events individually. By incorporating our information found from
books and the internet, into a prezi, we will be able to effectively touch on different aspects
surrounding the individual theories we chose to research. Each selected conspiracy theory will be
shown in depth throughout five slides that will discuss where the theory came from, how it

spread, why people believe it, and what it means for our world. All of the information will be
obtained through use of the internet and books found in the Atkins Library.
The approach we’re taking for the timeline should be effective as it will go in depth
enough to offer our audience an accurate portrayal of each conspiracy while also providing for
multiple conspiracies. The work being split up in the way it is should also ensure that its done all
time and should be split up appropriately among the team members. Our audience should care
about our project since conspiracies can play a very influential part of our society. These
conspiracies have began debates around the world off how certain events have taken place
throughout history. These debates occur because everyone can have a different take on major
events. In the end everyone wants to find out what actually occurred.
Throughout the research and development of our project, we will divide the work evenly
theories amongst the entire group. To be able to have everyone complete the same amount of
work and have everyone held responsible for their work, each member will chose one theory to
research and the last theory the entire group will research as a whole. Each team member will
produce five slides for their chosen theory. Starting the week of October 5th each member will
be required to complete one slide out of their five to show and have peer edited by the rest of the
group. The week of November 9th the group will research the last theory together and compose
the last five slides. The week of November 23rd the group will add finishing touches to their own
slides and complete introduction, title, works cited, and any additional information slides. That
week as well all members are required to have their five slides completed and be well versed on
the topic to be able to adequately answer the question.
