Allah SWT gave Muhammad PBUH the mission of prophet hood at the age of 40. While Allah SWT set him the vision, the prophet needed time to understand it, interpret it and translate it practically on the ground.  The Hudaybia treaty showed the Prophet’s wisdom in accepting some terms in the treaty that a companion of the Prophet like Omar ibn al Khatab refused. It was proven later on that these terms that the Prophet accepted and Omar refused were for the benefit of Islam. Strategy

The Prophet PBUH was very strategic in the exercise of his leaderships. He used strategy in delegation, in selecting and giving tasks to the most appropriate person suitable for that task.An effective communicator

Prophet Muhammad preached the importance of the equality of humankind. In his last sermon the Prophet stated: All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a White has no superiority over a Black nor a Black has any superiority over a White except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly.Courage and determination.

Courage and determination are qualities which every leader must embrace, acquire, and possess. Courage and determination emanate from strong faith and belief and the complete satisfaction of one’s righteousness. And this indeed is learnt from our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s personality.

Mutual consultation and Unity.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) himself practiced this value and in almost all important matters consulted with his colleagues and companions.Justice and Compassion.

Prophet Muhammad as well as his wise Caliphs and companions attached great importance to justice and compassion.

the Prophet Muhammad possessed not only transformational leadership values but that he also possessed extraordinary values which made him a unique leader in the history of humankind. The Islamic Leadership Model and the principles associated with it offer a leadership alternative which can open the door of
