IntroductionMore and more enterprises are adopting and integrating new and advanced technologies, such as cloud, analytics and AI, into their businesses. The 28% of total enterprise IT spending forecast to shift to cloud by 2022 represents a $1.3T opportunity1 for CSPs who are fast and agile enough to adapt. To date only a few have embraced the required change, and many are still struggling with lack of knowledge and operational flexibility. CSPs need to open up and collaborate with technology experts and a growing partner ecosystem that will help them close the skills and technology gaps – together they can translate these opportunities into solutions. Recent research2, commissioned by BearingPoint, outlined the importance of ecosystem providers such as AWS and AWS Marketplace to CSPs’ future growth. They found that 50% of CSPs are expecting ecosystems to deliver at least a 16-30% revenue increase in just two years. The research also revealed that the main barriers to success are technological, with 55% of CSPs not believing they have the right technology in place to manage multi-party monetization required by new business models.
