When The Lights Go On Again

When the lights go on again all over the world

And the boys are home again all over the world

And rain or snow is all that may fall from the skies above

A kiss won't mean "goodbye" but "Hello to love"

When the lights go on again all over the world

And the ships will sail again all over the world

Then we'll have time for things like wedding rings and free hearts will sing

When the lights go on again all over the world

Your Turn As you observe each example of

WWII propaganda, respond to the questions on your student worksheet.

After everyone has had time to respond, we will “buzz” with our table groups about our thinking.

Your Task Your group will be analyzing propaganda

posters from three of the main participants in World War II: Germany, Japan, and the United States. While analyzing you will be searching for different themes in each of these posters.

Your group will be creating your own World War II propaganda poster from one of the three nations. When creating your poster, be sure to use the themes from the country you have selected.
