There is a good chance you will walk out of the theater "drunk" on laughter after watching this mockumentary on the wine business in Northern California. CORKED is a dry comedy follows a few different wine makers as they hilariously struggle to bring their wine to market and compete for the coveted Golden Harvest Award. Along for the ride are a snobby wine critic, clueless wine marketers, and a couple on their first tour of the wine country. Lacking any knowledge of wine, this couple is perfectly played by the actors. They are surprised that the "old" wine doesn't come at a discount. This independent film has had an interesting, yet not uncommon journey to reach audiences. It has been making the film festival circuit playing to packed theaters and even winning an audience award. After the screening, David Hansen of Vaso de Vino Wine Market, will be joining us for the Q&A to offer factual insight into the wine business. Maybe he has his own quirky wine related tales! After the Q&A we will be gathering at the Hilton’s Roux Restaurant to sample appetizers with a cash bar.
