Marketing is the process of promoting a product in

order to increase the amount of sales it gains.

Marketing is important, as it is a way of making the

public aware of your product/ service, and it is about

meeting the needs and wants of potential customers,

which encourages them into buying the specific

product. This increases its recognition within the

market.

Distribution is whereby you make a product

available for use for the customer. A product goes

through a distribution chain before it reaches the

consumer, for instance first the product will be

made by the manufacturer, which will then go to

the retailer, who will then sell it to the consumer

to use. This process is used for every product that

is made.

Today in our society we have many tools that allow an

individual to promote a product, especially by social

network sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

When products are marketed through social network

sites it is cheaper therefore there is no need for the

large budgets as people nowadays use the internet to

communicate, and it is more likely to encourage people

into watching the movie.

Facebook is extremely useful to market a product because

almost everyone has an account on it, everyone has access to

it, and people are constantly using it. One way that we can

market our product on Facebook is by posting the opening

scene, which will then encourage people to share it so it gets

a greater recognition. Secondly we can create a page for our

opening scene, and post the latest information about our

product, such as its release date, or where you are able to

watch the film.

Instagram is another new social networking sites

whereby most individuals have access to. We can

pictures of what the scene is going to include

and possibly short snippets of the opening scene

which will then make the audience interested

into watching the movie.

YouTube is also a large entertaining social media

sites, which mainly consists of videos. On YouTube

the actual video someone is going to watch. This
