Project 1: Antenna modeling using Method of Moments (MoM) - Medium

    2

Applying MoM in order to model and optimize radiation from antennas. The antenna structure ranges from simple dipoles to patch antennas and patch antenna arrays.

  • HCMUT / 2014 Dr. Dung Trinh

Project 2: Applying Integral Equation and Method of Moments to analyze the antenna integration problems

    3

Applying IE and MoM in order to model and optimize radiation from antennas considering the affect of the structure of the object that the antennas are integrated.

Project 3: Antenna design using CAD

    4

3A. 2.45 GHz Circular Patch Antenna. 3B. 2.45 GHz Microstrip Dipole Antenna. 3C. 2.0 GHz Triangular Patch Antenna. 3D. 2.0 GHz Bow Tie Patch Antenna. 3E. 2.45 GHz Rectangular Loop Antenna. Assume that the antennas are design on FR4 board with r = 4.9 Substrate thickness = 1.6mm Copper thickness = 0.035mm

Project 4: Apply the 3D Random Rough Surface Scattering in optimizing the Modified Radar Cross

    Section

    5

Proper modeling of reflection and scattering processes for typical building materials required: Reflection on smooth surface, Scattering on rough surface, Reflection on multi-layer objects.

Project 5: Wave propagation in urban areas applied in radio network planning

    6

Phenomena like multi-path propagation, reflection, diffraction and shadowing have a significant influence on the received signal level. Therefore the propagation models should consider these phenomena to obtain accurate results.

Project 6: Wave propagation in rural areas applied in radio network planning

    7

Propagation of electromagnetic waves in areas with a low density of buildings depends mainly on the topography and the land usage(clutter). The vector data of the buildings must not be considered in such scenarios.

Project 7: Wave propagation in indoor scenarios

    9

Propagation of electromagnetic waves inside buildings is influenced mainly by the walls. Diffractions around corners as well as wave guiding in corridors (due to multiple reflections) are dominating the propagation inside buildings.
