2. Many plant species that natural rubber is many other plants that contain Rubber
latex.
SYNTHETIC RUBBER
Derived from petroleum, oil, natural gas and acetylene.
It is over a dozen major classes, many of them are copolymers i.e., polymers
consisting of more than one monomer.

WRAPPED HEXAGONAL BELTS:
Construction:
Hexagonal V-Belts also known as Double V-Belts.
They can be in simple terms considered as two v-belts joined back to back.
The neutral axis containing the tension cord is exactly half way up the section.
The polyester tension cord placed at the center of this belt provides extreme
flexibility & low stretch properties. It is because of this positioning of the cord
the same is not subjected to any other forces as in the case of normal V-Belts.
Application:
Hexagonal belts find applications in drives where several pulleys in the same
plane are to be driven in the clockwise & anti-clockwise direction
simultaneously.
Double V-Belts normally finds its application in agricultural machinery,
textile machinery & rice mills.
WRAPPED BANDED BELTS
Construction:
Wedge (SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC) or narrow belts with strong tied over them.
14
Each Band may contain the required number of belts, maximum up to 5 belts
in one band depending on the drive conditions.
Application:
Reciprocating compressors
Stone Crushers
Cold forging machines
V-Belt drives.
Vertical Shaft drives
Agriculture Drives
WRAPPED HARVESTER BELTS:
Construction:
Strong wear resistant bias cut neoprene rubberized fabric.

MIXING
In the mixing the different types of rubber and different raw materials are mixed to get
rubber sheet. And they are following formula according the quality of product. There will be
some variation in the belt. So according to the belt we mix the material. The materials used are
Natural Rubber, Artificial Rubber, carbon, oil, acids, chemicals, wax, zinc oxide, sulphur
etc. After taking all these materials they are taking the things to deck room and according to
the formula they are weighing and putting the mix in to roller to get rubber sheet. The mixing
room is called as rubber mill.
BASE
20
According to the order size the fabric cloth which is produced in mill is cut here. Fabric is
a cloth which is used to cover the belt, fabric is first inserted into the machine, it is called Three
Roll fabric calendar in this stage the output is to take the rubber coating to the fabric cloth.
CALENDARING
The machine is called as profile calendaring. The rubber sheet is put in to the profile
calendar. The profile calendar contains a grooved bowl under the bowl can be changing the size
on the basis of requirement. The bowl size is A, B, C, and D when the bowl are insert for final
product.
BUILDING
The machine is called as Profile building. Converting the belt into required size. A
machine contains a cord is should be rolled within the rubber sheet. But group of belts are
produced here called sleeve.
TAPPING
In this process the machine called as profile cutting. In this process group of belts are
produced, here the belts are cut into individual pieces.
FLIPPING
In this process individual belts are covered with fabric. The fabric cloth is coated over the
belt.
CURING
21
In following steps, belts are undergone some building process. Here to make the
complete product. This process is carried down to make the product hard. After flipping process
the belt is wrapped with a fifty meter cloth and this will be subjected to steaming .In the steam
engine steaming the wood ,And is done through vulcanize. Which appears horizontal and steam
will be passed for forty minutes at 130 degree-150 degree Celsius .The belt is attached with
mould and get boiled 30 minutes. In this process 200 belt per process produced. In one mould 24
rings. The mould will be differing according to the size. In the pot curing 3000 belts per day.
In the press curing this will be vertical is appearance, and is done especially for OE
(Original Equipment) the belt is pressed all size and then we get output. In this press curing the
platterns is used. And it is used to make the belt in required size, hard, the shape of the belt. In
the one hour 24 belts will be curing. In this 2000 belts will be produced.
TRIMMING
In flipping some fabrics are not properly attached in the belt, in the process of trimming
the unwanted fabric is trimmed.
DYEING
After the curing process some belts are un-uniform in color, by dyeing all the belts are
painted in uniform color. It is a final stage.HSS machine and reverse cooling process for getting
the perfect belt. In this process4-5 belts per set (7 minutes process time). In per shift 150 belts
dyeing and checking (1/2 hr).
INSPECTION
22
In the inspection it checks the belts whether it is accurate size, width and length. The
main error in the belts are trimming error and flipping error. After the inspection the finished
goods are sent to store room.
PACKAGING
The company’s home appliance products are packed in an attractive cover and the other
product are packaged in the boxes.

service life. Follow these guidelines: Store belts in a cool, dry, dust free area, away from
radiators and direct sunlight.
23
Temperatures below 85 degree and relative humidity below 70% are recommended. Store
belts away from ozone producing unguarded fluorescent lights, mercury vapor lights and high
voltage electrical equipment. Don’t store belts near chemicals, oils, solvents, lubricants, or acids.
Belts can be coiled on shelves or hung on pegs. Avoid sharp bend and stresses that can
cause permanent deformation and cracks. Stack belts no higher than 12” to prevent damage to
bottom belts. When hanging, coil longer belts to prevent distortion from belt weight.
