Project Description: Corrocoat PUA SG was approved as protection coating product for the modifications to the SWRO Pre-treatment plant at Al Zawra. The original specifications called for a non-toxic solvent free potable water approved epoxy coating. However, after comparing the physical properties, the consultant chose Corrotech’s Polyurea solution over the originaly specified epoxy coating. Corrocoat PUA SG provided not only excellent corrosion protection but also additional benefits over the epoxy system such as very high tensile strength, impact resistance, abrasion resistance, elongation and superior crack bridging properties.

Corrocoat PUA SG is WRAS approved product and is safe to be used in contact with potable water.

Applications took place in 3 steps: 1) The concrete substrate was grinded to prepare the substrate for further overcoating. Damaged areas were repaired using Corromortar FC.2) Substrate was primed with Corroprime EP SF.3) 2 coats of Corrocoat PUA SG were applied to total thickness of 2 mm.
