Platform SelectionPlatform Analysis

We decided to utilize the services of WiX.com. We found that this website-builder is the most beneficial for our company for a number of reasons. The biggest reason is the ease of implementing exactly what our business will be used for. Due to the e-tailer nature of our business, we were looking for a website-builder that could help us easily create a retailing look for our website. WiX allows you to actually choose from a number of templates, one of which is actually e-tailer. Furthermore, WiX has several pre-designed apps that are seamlessly incorporated into your website. For example, there are shopping cart, payment, social media, and contact applications that can be embedded easily into your site. All of these features are available to you for the price of $0.Domain NameWe stuck with a very simple domain name. It is tripstshirts.com, which is just the name of our company, followed by the .com. The reason we chose .com is due to our strictly commercial business model.High Level RequirementsThere are a number of different high level requirements that our website will incorporate. One of the main goals of our site (as it should be for all e-commerce sites) is to create an easy-to-use navigational structure. By having a very neat website, users will not have any issues with finding and ordering the product that they desire. The pages that we will include are the following: home, products, group orders, about us, contact us, and an additional page for each individual product. Our site will also incorporate a shopping cart and social media links. By providing a separate page for individual orders and group orders, the customer will be able to easily navigate immediately to their desired product. The individual product page will explain what the product is and provide the option to select from different sizing/color options. They will then be able to order their shirts by adding them to the shopping cart. In order to allow the customization aspect, we are having our customers send their desired image as an attachment to the company email ([email protected]). We have created a logo for our company, which will be on the top of the page, above the navigation menu.Style Guide

Content StrategyThere are several content areas that will be required for our e-commerce site to allow users to purchase our intended product. Because we are a t-shirt customization service, we will need simple images of our intended t-shirt styles. Once we obtain these images, we will need to create a product page that allows customers to select their desired style. We will not need the designs that are to be placed on the shirts, these will be sent to our company email ([email protected]) from the customer. Our website will also require a shopping cart in order to keep track of the users purchases. This shopping cart must incorporate some form of payment. We currently have all of these content areas. WiX.com uses pre-made applications that can be placed throughout your website with little difficulty. We have also already created our company logo.
