Key activities of the organisation:Institute of Agriculture and Forestry Maribor is a public institute which was founded by Slovene Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry (non-government farmer organization). The roots of Institute go back in the year 1894 since when it was first established by Provincial Assembly of Štajerska.

Energap is regional centre of knowledge and ideas.

We provide:• information, advice and training on energy management

issues, • support for the implementation of local/regional energy

plans, • energy audits of public and private buildings, • raising awareness on energy efficiency, renewable energy

sources and transport issues, • search for energy-management incentive funds at

national and international level.

Role in the project:

ENERGAP is a partner in the project and will cooperate in all WPs and activities:- In WP1 the partner will participate at all project meetings, provide

input for evaluation reports and manage its own administrative and financial management, including preparation of partner reports;

- In WP2 it will be responsible for promotion of the project at different events. It will provide input for all the material produced within this WP;

- In WP3 it will participate at workshops for partners, contribute to the Slovenian overview of existing approaches and to the list of bottlenecks. It will appoint professionals to the transnational expert working groups, contribute existing knowledge to the database and participate at study visits. It will also contribute suitable topics to the step-by-step guide;

- In WP4 it will participate in the local action group, contribute to the local step-by-step plan and participate at workshops for the local action group. It will also contribute to the improvement of the local energy strategy and to the report on its implementation;- In WP5 the partner will cooperate in the formation of local partnerships, participate at events for local partnerships and contribute to the report with overview of achieved outputs. It will cooperate in the implementation of each pilot case and contribute to the preparation of technical solutions in Slovenian pilot area.

Experience with energy efficiency measures: Energap coordinates the implementation of Local Energy Concept of the Municipality of Maribor

Energap has many experience in local, national and international (EU) projects:• Minus 3% (IEE program) - Energy Efficiency in public sector –

Shining examples for savings 3% per year• SO-PRO (IEE program) – implementing pilot projects in solar

thermal systems in the industry or craft field• RETS (Interreg IVC program) - improve the knowledge and

competencies of local and regional policy makers in renewable energy systems

• Initiative EC – “Covenant of Mayors” – SEAP project IEE - the programme to involved the cities to reach the sustainable energy aims: more than 20% savings and more than 30% of renewable energies

• LEAP (IEE program) - improve partner‘s capacity as key actors in speeding up the local uptake of sustainable energy measures

Lakatamia Municipality

Key activities of the organisation:Services to the residents of Lakatamia including sanitation (both sewer and refuse), provision of drinking water, street construction and maintenance, street lighting, public health and food safety, and social services such as parks, theatres and social clubs.

Role in the project:Partner

Experience with energy efficiency measures: Isle Pact and Covenant of Mayors – Energy Action Plan for 20% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2020. Measures include PV systems on municipal buildings, efficient street lighting and creation of parks and greenery areas.
