The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) isconducting a Project Development and Environment(PD&E) study to determine how to improve Combee Roadfrom US 98 to North Crystal Lake Drive. Therecommendations from this study will be used to guidefuture design and construction activities. Potentialimprovements to Combee Road include a two-way centerturn lane, designated bicycle lanes, and sidewalks on bothsides. Other improvements are proposed at theintersections to help the flow of traffic and reduce crashes.Throughout the study, a no-build or “do-nothing” alternativeis also considered and will remain an option until the end ofthe process.
