• Founded in 1982– by Late Dr. T.R.Paliwal, who was a Principal & Professor of Psychology– BDP School was opened in Mathura

• Rural area that is being served– Daily wage earners and mid-level farmers in neighboring rural area– around 400 students are being educated each year along with 5000 adults– Current literacy rate is 12%

• Aim of BDP School– Formal education as prescribed by UP board of education (Education ministry,

Govt. of India) with value added courses.

– Informal education: Vocational training, Health awareness programs, Computer courses, Adult education and Agriculture development
