All teaching approaches require:• A clear understanding of the learning outcomes from the start of the

design.• Sharing the learning outcomes and success criteria with the students• Moving the responsibility for learning into a shared "space"• A move towards facilitative teaching approaches, which often include • Collaborative or group work.• Blended and considered use of technology that the learning and teaching

process both within face-to-face and virtual delivery methods. • Assessment of learning often occurs as a natural part of the learning

process; with tests and exams lessened in their use as a means of assessing student learning.

• Intimate knowledge of curriculum content on the teacher's behalf.
