Project HOLD Mission Statement and Collections Policy

• On behalf of the City of College Station, it is the mission of Project HOLD to collect and digitally preserve the materials that document the history of College Station and its surrounding area. Collected materials are made available to researchers, the general public, and future generations on the internet via a digital archive.

• It is the collections policy of Project HOLD to acquire unpublished or unique records and papers, memoirs and oral histories, bound volumes, pamphlets, periodicals, maps, and photographs to be added to the archive. Special attention will be given to items that document the governmental, economic, cultural, educational, and civic pursuits of the people of College Station and the surrounding area.

• If you have material that meets the criteria outlined in the collections policy and would like to include it in Project HOLD, contact the Historic Preservation office at 979-764-3491 or email us at [email protected].
