Are all kids using alcohol and other drugs?
NO!But, they’re all at risk.
What to do? Follow NJ school policy “18A”
• Any educational staff member or other
professional to whom it appears that a pupil
may be under the influence of alcohol or other
drugs must report this in accordance with
N.J.S.A. 18A so they go out for an evaluation.
• If you suspect a student has a drug
problem, report to your administrator, school
nurse, SAC, guidance counselor, Child Study
Team or other professional staff, to be
addressed.
