    Objective: To learn about expressing p rogressive actions in the future.

    Future Continuous tense

    Future Continuous tense has two forms.

    Will be + ing andGoing to + M.V

    Will be + ing Usage:

    Guessing what is happening now Planned actions in future

    Examples:

    Jonathan will be working at office. (Guessing what is happening now)

    The Prime minister will be visiting the affected areas next week. (Planned action in the future)

    Going to + M.V Usage:

    Future action because of a present condition Imminent actions (going to happen in near future)

    Examples:

    I am going to sell my old house because I have bought a new one. (Future action because of apresent condition)

    It is going to rain. (Imminent action)

    Will be + ing Structures:S = Subject; M.V = Main Verb; O.W = Other Wo rds

    Positive statement:

    S + will be + M.V ing + O.W

    Examples:Andrew will be watching TV.Sophia will be dancing tomorrow.

    Negative statement:

    S + will not + be + M.V ing + O.W

    S + wont+ be + M.V ing + O.W

    Examples:

    Luke and I wont be playing next match .Elizabeth wont be coming.

    Yes/ No Positive question:

    Will + S + be + M.V ing + O.W?

    Examples:

    Will caleb be continuing his studies?Will Audrey be asking questions?

    Yes/ No Negative question:

    Will + S + not + be + M.V ing + O.W?

    Wont + S + be+ M.V ing + O.W?

    Examples:

    Wont you be correcting your mistakes?Will she not be paying attention in the class?

    Wh Positive question:

    Wh + will + S + be + M.V ing + O.W?

    Examples:

    Where will Andy be spending his vacation?Why will Matt will be frightening her?

    Wh(y) Negativequestion:

    Why + will + S + not + be + M.V ing + O.W?

    Why + wont + S + be+ M.V ing + O.W?

    Examples:

    Why will Aubrey not be guiding Caleb?Why wont Ranjan be inviting them?

    Going to Structures:S = Subject; M.V = Main Verb; O.W = Other Wo rds

    Positive statement:

    S + am/ is/ are + going to + M.V + O.W

    Examples:

    Brookyln is going to introduce her.Dylan is going to join soon.

    Negative statement:

    S + am not/ is not/ are not + going to + M.V + O.W

    S + isnt/ arent + going to + M.V + O.W

    Examples:

    Oliver is going to kick the ball.Daniel and I are going to buy a new ipod.

    Yes/ No Positive question:

    Am/ is/ are + S + going to + M.V + O.W?

    Examples:

    Are they going to attend the wedding?Is Pamela going to leave her job?

    Yes/ No Negative question:

    Am/ is/ are + S + not + going to + M.V + O.W?

    Isnt/ arent + S + going to + M.V + O.W?

    Examples:

    Is Samuel going to inform you?Am I going to complete it?

    Wh Positive question:

    Wh + am/ is/ are + S + going to + M.V + O.W?

    Examples:

    How is Lucy going to manage with so little?When is Evelyn going to obey her superiors orders?

    Wh(y) Negativequestion:
