The Towns of Addison, Arley, Double Springs, and Lynn; the City of Haleyville; and the Winston County Commission form the Cooperative District of Winston County to undertake large‐scaleof Winston County to undertake large scale economic development projects.
The Cooperative District of Winston County explores and selects appropriate financing options to pursue acquisition of property to build the Winston County Industrial Park.
The Cooperative District of Winston County signs for property to build the Winston County Industrial Park on Highway 13 just 6.5 miles from exit 39 on Corridor X, the future Interstate 22.
The Cooperative District of Winston County begins Phase 1, 2 and 3 engineering testing, surveying and master planning for the Winston County Industrial Park.

The Winston County Industrial Development Authority on behalf of the Cooperative District of Winston County has overseen the development of the Winston County Industrial Park including developing Lots 10 and 11 and is currently developing Lots 8 and 9 while planning the development of another large tract site for a tenant.
2009
The Cooperative District of Winston County has to date been awarded $620,000 in grants and special appropriations. The Cooperative District of Winston County and the Winston County2009 Winston County and the Winston County Commission are currently pursuing over $3.5 million in infrastructure grants and assistance for the Winston County Industrial Park.
The Winston County Industrial Development Authority completes a year long rigorous assessment to have the Winston County Industrial Park recognized as an Alabama AdvantageSite. The Winston County Industrial Park is one of only 13 parks across the State of Alabama to receive this prestigious recognition and designation.
The Cooperative District of Winston County enters into a Lease‐to‐Own Agreement with a company to locate at the Winston County Industrial Park. The company plans to make a $60 million capital investment and create 25 direct high wage high
2010investment and create 25 direct high wage, high demand, high growth jobs and 75‐125 indirect jobs. Estimated project timeline is 2010 to 2013.
