Together with society as a whole

New impetus to boost development

For by and with the patient

The Community pharmacy generates cohesion and territorial rebalancing, as well as supporting, directly or indirectly, up to 210,000 jobs.

All Spaniards can access to the latest pharmacotherapeutic innovations, regardless of their place of residence, and specifically to their medication financed by the NHS, through the implementation of the electronic prescription

Pharmacies make it easier for citizens to dispose of medicine waste properly.

More than 3000 public health pharmacists carry out the control and monitoring of water for human consumption.

Through the participation in the SIGRE system, significant energy savings and emission reductions are achieved.

For a healthy environment

Providing services to the most vulnerable and facilitating ac-cess to medication, including in emer-gency situations.

Promoting access to healthy, nutritious and sufficient food for all, and fighting against malnutrition

Collaboration with the Government in relation to the State Pact against gender violence and participation in the promotion of healthy beha-viours in relation to sexuality.

Training to be able to collabo-rate in actions aimed at fighting violence against minors or vulne-rable people.

Encouraging collaboration with other health professionals to improve patient care and achieve better health outcomes and contribute to the sustainability and effectiveness of health systems.

Collaboration in campaigns against social exclusion.

Pharmacies participate in projects and campaigns aimed at both promoting health and preventing different diseases; guaranteeing Spaniards’ access to safe, quality medicines and vaccines.

“This is a different way of working for the benefit of society. Looking for new solutions for pharmaceutical care in Spain” We are pharmacists’ Manifesto

Focusing on patients, with all their diversity: more than 52,000 community pharmacists.

The Community Pharmacy guarantees the equity, quality and cohesion of the Health System, a task that promotes social and economic impact while mitigating the environmental impact, favoring rural development, generating savings in the National Health System and promoting correct environmental management.

Able to generate 90,000 direct jobs and to face up to challenges such as ageing, chronicity and dependence, serving 2.3 million people every day.
