Dear Students, Parents, and Educators:

Summer Search is a Montgomery County Public Schools service that provides information about a variety of summer educational opportunities available for students at all grade levels. The Summer Search: Expanding Educational Horizons catalog is an excellent resource for families to use to identify engaging and challenging summer programs. Every year, many of our students enjoy participating in summer enrichment programs listed in the catalog. Summer Search programs help students develop leadership skills, broaden personal and career interests, and enhance the educational experience they received during the school year. Programs include internships, college courses, training programs, summer camps, and other study opportunities.Summer Search is part of the school system’s commitment to provide the highest quality educational opportunities for all students. I trust that you will find this Summer Search catalog to be a useful tool for identifying a program designed to broaden knowledge in a particular area of interest, improve social and academic skills, and provide a unique summer experience.

Respectfully,

Jerry D. Weast, Ed.D. Superintendent of Schools
