SPECIAL MEET THE ARTIST: LYNN KARLINLynn Karlin is the woman behind the current art exhibit on view in Frontier’s restaurant. Visits to photograph local Maine farmers markets took a new direction when she brought a stunning purple cauliflower back to her studio and placed it on an old white pedestal by a window, inspiring a new series that honors vegetables by literally placing them on a higher level. Join us for an evening celebrating this wonderful exhibit with a reception in our coffee bar where you can meet Lynn and peruse her work in the restaurant.

SPECIAL FRONTIER STUDIOS PRESENTS GLOBAL FEAST: BLUE ZONES KITCHENNational Geographic Photographer David McLain is the photographer behind the New York Times best-selling cookbook The Blue Zones Kitchen. David traveled the world for two years with writer Dan Buettner to document the recipes and dietary traditions of the longest-lived people on earth. Join David at Frontier as he shares stories, photography, and longevity food. Gulf of Maine Books will be on hand to sell copies of the book and David will be available for a book signing. *Standing Room Only. MUSIC PRIMO CUBANO SALSA & “SON” DANCE CONCERT Presented by Frontier in collaboration with Brunswick-Trinidad Sister City Association for Cuba Week Primo Cubano plays traditional Cuban dance music called Son, dating back to the turn of the 20th century. The band was formed in 2007 by founder, Paul D’Alessio after an inspiring artist exchange trip to Trinidad De Cuba run by Brunswick/Trinidad Sister City Association first brought him into contact with the Son music and the local Cuban musicians who still play it. *This is a standing room only event with plenty of space for dancing and limited seating along the perimeter
