Principal’s Welcome

I would like to welcome you to Leeds College of Art’s 2011 graduation ceremony.

It is appropriate that we celebrate in Leeds Town Hall, which was built around the same time as the College was established in the mid 19th century and shares a rich and varied history. Whilst the ceremony is quite a formal occasion, it is also a chance for your family and friends, who have supported you throughout your time with us to celebrate and enjoy the event too. Our staff will be very proud as they see you receive your degree certificate which is the culmination of all your hard work and dedication.

This marks a major transition in your life, from where we hope we have enabled you to embark successfully on a creative and fulfilling career. I end with a request, and that is for you to keep in touch with us and let us know how you progress. Our alumni, of which you are now part, continur to play an important role in College life and take part in many exhibitions, events and professional activities.

I wish you every possible happiness and success in the future.
