WELCOMEThe crippling shortage of power in West Africa is well documented, so WAPIC 2016 will be a platform for stakeholders to present their solutions. By taking The 4Ps of Dr Kandeh Yumkella’s, Former United Nation Under-Secretary-General and the Special Representative for Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL), as the fundamentals of a successful power sector – Politics, Policies, Pricing and Partnerships, the strategic conference agenda will explore the way forward for the regional power industry.
WAPIC is much more than an event; our team works tirelessly to bring tangible benefits, not only to Nigeria, our host country, but also to the entire West African region. We’re working with Power Africa and Power for All to organise a luncheon to celebrate women in the power industry and will be screening the documentary ‘Nowhere to Run’, with The Yar’Adua Foundation and TEDx Surlere, to tell the story of environmental threats and unique challenges to security in Nigeria from the perspective of affected communities. We’ll also be showcasing best practices in the industry with an Awards Gala Dinner and site visits. WAPIC is an interactive platform of strategic meetings, discussions, debates, technical demonstrations, deal making and celebration of excellence to drive the industry forward.

We know how difficult it is to meet your perfect contact at events. You don’t know their schedules and it is difficult to locate exactly who you are looking for on busy expo floors. This year, to connect you with the right people, we have enlisted the help of Pitch & Match – a matchmaking platform to help you schedule meetings before the event even starts.
What is Pitch & Match?Pitch & Match is an effective meeting system to match your needs to those of other delegates, and then arrange a meeting with just a few clicks in your browser.
How do I register? If you are a conference delegate, then we will automatically add you to the Pitch & Match system and you will receive a notification with the log in details.
How many meetings can I set up?You can set as many meeting requests as you like, and accept as many as you can. The only restriction is that you can only fill the total number of available 30 minute slots in your agenda for the two days of the event.
