program survey for austin's cities connecting children to ... · this survey will remain live...
TRANSCRIPT
This survey will remain live and open through July 2016. The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department is currently leading a Strategic PlanningInitiative to ensure that every child in Austin has abundant and equitable access to nature. As partof the planning process, we are conducting a program survey in order to create acomprehensive database of all programs in Austin that are bringing children outside and/orconnecting them to nature in some way. This survey will help us determine what gaps and needsexists in Austin from a programmatic standpoint. We are collecting program information from Non-profit Organizations, City Departments, Hospitals, Schools, etc.
This survey will allow you to enter information for up to 5 types of programs:Please list all programs that take place OUTDOORS and/or focus on NATURE BASEDLEARNING for children AGES 0-18. (Ex. gardening / farming programs, outdoor recreation /sports programs, environmental education programs, etc.)If your organization runs the same program at multiple branches or locations across Austin, ideally we’d like that information consolidated and entered only once to reflect city-wideimpact.We know that your organization may have more than 5 types of programs that serve toconnect children to nature. Please list what you consider to be your top 5 programs. We also know that you may not track all the information we are requesting for each program. Please do the best you can to provide the best answer to each question.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Survey Creator and Project Coordinator, JuliaCampbell: [email protected], 214-693-6360.
