Program Goals are required to graduate with aBSN from Fresno State, with 41
units being nursing majorrequirements.
Compliance with required G.E.coursework is specific to eachindividual. Prior advising with an academiccounselor is required to obtainG.E. course information.For courses taken at theAssociate's Degree level, all pre-requisites and co-requisitecourses apply to the G.E.requirements.
The RN to BSN Program builds upon thesound Associate's Degree in Nursing
(ADN) foundation of nursing education.
It is designed for ADNs with a registerednursing license to complete upper
division nursing courses that fulfill theBachelor's of Science in Nursing degreewithout repeating lower division nursing
coursework.
Upper division nursing courseworkexpands upon leadership and
management principles, and introducesresearch and evidence-based practicemethodologies, as well as population-focused community health nursing.
The curriculum below represents only thenursing major courses required. In addition
to the 6 courses in the nursing major,students are required to complete 9 units of
co-requisite courses, which are oftenconcomitant to the General Education (G.E.)
requirements needed to graduate fromFresno State.
