PROGRAM OVERVIEW Kayne Destination College is a college access program for students of the Los Angeles area run by ScholarMatch. It is a flexible program, both offering remote and in-person components, that will support 300 high school students who are the first in their family to attend college as they complete the college application process. Kayne Destination College provides students with an individual volunteer College Coach who provides support throughout the student’s senior year of high school. Program engagement is tracked and mea- sured through student completion of “milestones” as they apply to college. Students verify milestone com- pletion through online forms and are encouraged to use other support systems in conjunction with Kayne Destination College to work on their milestones. Kayne Destination College complements existing college access support for students by filling in with 1:1 support wherever the student may have additional needs or gaps in support. Kayne Destination College is both a college access support program for first-gen, college-bound students and a recruiting pipeline for robust college scholar- ships and support through Kayne Scholars, Scholar- Match, and other partners. • Transcript Review • Application Timeline Form • College Rep Visit • Take SAT or ACT • Build College List • Revise College Essay • Teacher Recommendation • Submit 8+ Applications • Apply for Financial Aid • Scholarship Applications • Financial Aid Review • Accept Offer High school juniors apply to the Kayne Destination College program through an Interest Form, available online beginning May 1.
