Why a Cohort?Admitted into a cohort in the fall, you and your
classmates will take the MBA core courses together
during your two-year program. The cohort is the essential
element of the Full-Time MBA program because it
enables you to develop a peer network that will last a
lifetime. By virtue of its size – typically 65 to 80 students
– the cohort provides the optimal environment in which to
challenge each other to exceed the limits of your comfort
zone to achieve success.
Why NYC?New York City is the world’s financial capital, offering
unparalleled internship and career opportunities. Home to
Fortune 500 companies, the banking sector, media and
advertising industries, accounting, fashion, publishing,
and scores of entrepreneurial ventures, New York provides
a dynamic, real world “classroom” experience.
Honor CodeExcerpt: “Every day in the Full-Time MBA
program is an opportunity to learn, to grow,
and to demonstrate my commitment to
my goals. The time, energy, and financial
resources I choose to spend at Zicklin
are an investment in myself; I accept the
opportunities and risks that this investment
entails, and the strategic choices that
it requires to reach my goals. I own my
choices and I am responsible for seizing
the opportunities presented to me each day
as I work toward my goals….(As a member
of the Zicklin community) my conduct will
be defined by integrity and professionalism
both on campus and off campus, with my
peers, faculty, administrators, employers, and
external partners of the Zicklin School and
Baruch College.”
Program HighlightsThe Full-Time MBA program is built around a cohort
of students admitted together each fall semester. It all
starts with the pre-term program, an intensive three-week
immersion including leadership development, career
management, team building, academic preparation, and
cross-cultural management, as well as social activities
with alumni and current students.
In each of your first two semesters, you will be assigned
to a learning team of five students that leverages the
cohort’s professional and cultural diversity; your peer
network is at hand.
Over the next 21 months, you will meet the challenges of
a rigorous curriculum, and challenge each other toward
excellence outside the classroom as you chase your career
aspirations in New York City and around the globe.
The Full-Time MBA Program requires your commitment
to full-time study, managing group dynamics, and
professional distinction.
At Zicklin, you will find the spirit and the grit you need to
launch a new career trajectory.
• Cohort learning environment throughout the MBA core.
• Leadership opportunities: competitions; clubs; and community service.
• Diverse learning teams in the first year of study.
• CaMP: The Career Management Program, providing the tools and resources for you to build a career strategy.
• Dedicated student services including reserved study space, priority registration, and individual/small group advising.

Application RequirementsOur admission standards are among the most competitive in the nation.
Applicants with at least two years of full-time work experience are
strongly preferred; the admissions committee considers the quality as
well as quantity of experience. The GMAT is required. There is a range
of GMAT scores which we generally consider acceptable for admission
rather than a minimum; the mean is typically 640-650. Essays, grades,
and letters of recommendation are all very seriously evaluated in the
process, and a personal interview is required as well.
