2019-2020 PULASKI PLAY DATES FOR PRESCHOOLERS

Bring your little ones and let them get acquainted with our school setting while playing with others their own age. PACE is offering

nine play dates, usually the third Friday of each school year month. This educational opportunity is open to everyone in the area,

including 4K students who have no class on Fridays. Pre-registration is required, but you are welcome to come and go as you want during our “open-gym” type set up. This is a perfect chance for grandparents or sitters to offer peer play activities in a safe and organized environment. Each month will have a specific theme, such as: Tumbling, Wheels in Motion, Valentine’s Day and more. Enter Glenbrook at the PACE Entrance #6 on Front St. We expect at least one adult (parent, guardian, sitter) to attend with every one to three children. Equipment will be set up and direction will be given, but supervision and play are done by those who attend. Please do not bring children who are ill. PACE reserves the right and has the responsibility to send ill or unruly children home.

Cost: FREE; but pre-registration is required Email: [email protected] or Call: 920-822-6050 Time: 9:30-11:30am Include your children's names, DOB and gender

Pulaski Community Schools Child Find Screening

Do you have a child aged 3-5? Do you have concerns about his or her behavior, social skills, speech/language skills, or other area of development or would you just like reassurance that s/he appears to be “on-track”? We can help! We will be offering screening dates starting in October.

Developmental screenings are provided by Pulaski Community Schools Early Childhood staff and hearing and vision screening is completed by our nursing staff at no cost to families. You’ll get feedback that day about ideas, possible resources, and whether or not more in depth evaluation appears warranted. Please contact Tricia in the Pulaski School District Student Services Department at (920) 822-6021 to set an appointment or to learn more!

No wrestling experience is necessary for our programs. Our purpose is to provide a fun, positive experience in the sport of wrestling. Practices are designed to create a wrestling base for your young competitor and also enhance the athleticism that will guide them through their future sporting careers. Body awareness, hand control, and footwork are all core concepts in the world of sports. Come see what the Pulaski Wrestling program is all about!

For those youth wrestlers who plan to compete in area tournaments and in the youth regional and state tournaments additional information will be given to you later in the year. Please note: Tournaments are not mandatory. We understand and encourage our newer wrestlers to focus on quality mat time in our practice room before going out to compete. If you have questions about the census please contact Tricia Kurey at [email protected] or call 920-822-6021.

Do you know someone who: Just moved into the school district? Just had a baby? Has children that are not yet school age? Isn’t receiving district mailings about opportunities for young children, such as dis-

trict screenings or 4K? If you said YES to any of these questions they may not be in our district census!! WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? The district uses census information to plan for the future. We also use it to

communicate with families about 4K and other opportunities for children.

20Community OpportunitiesLove having outdoor cats around to cut down on the rodent population? Don’t love having too many, or ones that yowl or fight?

Cats Anonymous may be your answer. The sole purpose of Cats Anonymous is to spay or neuter and vaccinate feral and barn cats. Altering the cats means no more unwanted kittens, and also cuts down onthose nuisance behaviors. Here’s how the program works: you register with us and we’ll put you on the wait-ing list. When your name comes up, we’ll contact you with the date, and make plans for you to pick up traps from our office in east Green Bay. You trap the cats the night before the surgery and bring them to us. Our volunteer veterinarians spay or neuter the cats and give them their vaccinations, pain medication, and an ear tip. You take them home the same day. We have our “spay days” once a month on a Saturday, and we also have some Wednesday availability. We also have a voucher program that one of the vets in Pulaski honors. You must be registered, and you must have an appointment. We do not do walk-ins. Still have questions or want to register? Contact Kristin in the office at 920-321-1967 or email her at [email protected].

26PULASKI COMMUNITY SCHOOL EDUCATION FOUNDATION, INC. P.O. Box 36 Pulaski, WI 54162-0036

Phone (920) 822-6050

As a resident of the Pulaski Community School District, you have the unique opportunity to receive a quality public school education. From the classroom to extra-curricular activities, Pulaski offers a chance to learn and grow in a safe, nurturing environment.

In an effort to perpetuate the positive school/community relations that have been a hallmark of the Pulaski Community Schools, the Pulaski Community School Education Foundation, Inc. was established in 1993. The goals of the Foundation are: • To support projects and programs that are not funded through the district’s operating budget. • To support enrichment programs for students and staff in all of Pulaski’s schools. • To support curriculum innovation and the equipment and materials needed to implement it. • To provide scholarships and grants to students and teaching staff.

Since its inception, over $338,000.00 in scholarships have been awarded to graduating students pursuing higher education and over $71,500.00 in grants have been awarded to staff seeking to enrich their programs through innovation.

The Foundation provides alumni and friends of the school a way to give back – a way to say thank you for the many wonderful opportunities the school made available to you. Your financial support of the Foundation will ensure that Pulaski’s tradition of educational excellence continues. It is in the spirit of our school and of the future children of the school district that the Foundation asks you to favorably consider becoming a member of the Foundation. Members of the Foundation are leaders in guaranteeing the outstanding educational programs of our school.

Below you will find a contribution and pledge form. You can, of course, give whatever you choose. However, if you choose to donate at the gold, silver or bronze leaf level, your name, or your family’s name, will be engraved on a leaf and put on display on the Foundation Tree of Knowledge. The Tree of Knowledge is on permanent display in the Pulaski High School.

A good education is a gift. An excellent education is a priceless gift. Let’s ensure that the future remains bright for all of our children, and that positive community/school relations continue to be a hallmark of the Pulaski Community Schools.-------------------------------------------------------CUT HERE-------------------------------------------------------

earnings toward payment of property taxes. The compensation, which is $5.00 per hour, (maximum of $595) is distributed in JUNE in the form of a two party check made out to the worker and the appropriate county treasurer.
